RTM FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
1. What is RTM?
The RTM Tournament Series is the first-ever year-round program designed to identify and cultivate local talent to ladder up to D.C. Pickleball Team’s Minor League Pickleball rosters. But it’s not just for players looking to play Minor League and/or pro level. RTM is also for your average rec player looking to compete and test their skills.
All events in the DMV will be hosted exclusively by Down the Line Sports Center (along with select facilities), where players will participate in DUPR sessions and monthly tournaments to earn points in an effort to qualify for DCPT’s MiLP DUPR 12 to 22 rosters. Weekly DUPR sessions begin Friday, January 31, and the first tournament kicks off Friday, February 28.
This initiative marks a significant milestone for pickleball enthusiasts, providing a structured pathway to elevate their game, compete at a higher level, and engage with D.C. Pickleball Team’s leading coaches and talent evaluators.
2. How It Works
- RTM DUPR Sessions: Participants must complete a minimum of 2 RTM DUPR before the final RTM Cup Final held in November 2025. These sessions are a way to ensure accurate ratings and fair competition. All sessions will be offered weekly, starting Friday, January 31, at Down the Line Sports Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
Events will move to the new state-of-the-art Annandale facility (projected opening May 2025).
All players must join the DUPR “DTL – Fairfax” Club for all events at Fairfax and the DUPR “DTL – Annandale” Club for all events at Annandale so scores can be entered and recorded accurately.Players do not have to complete a DUPR session before signing up for RTM tournaments. RTM staff will verify that all RTM tournament players have participated in at least 2 DUPR sessions before the RTM Cup Final
DTL Members get a discount on the first RTM DUPR session they sign up for ($15 for DTL Members / $30 Non-Members).

Please do not request a refund – your service fee cannot be returned and you could lose your spot in the event. - Tracking Progress: Player performance will be monitored via DUPR and pickleball.com ensuring transparent and accurate tracking of scores and progress. - Monthly RTM Tournaments & Wildcard Opportunities: Beginning in February, RTM tournaments will feature men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles at DUPR levels ranging from 3.0 to open division.
